Johan’s presentation will consider the complete journey of bananas “from field to fork”: Starting at the plantations, pre and post-harvest treatments, handling, packing, shipping in reefer containers and conventional reefer vessels, all the way to the shelf at the final retail warehouse at destination. Throughout the presentation a strong focus will be put on the various risks which may occur and suitable loss prevention measures to address them.
