A shift towards remote surveys has long been considered in the maritime industry, particularly by class societies and surveyors. Several organisations have already started offering certain services in a digital format. The COVID-19 pandemic has forcefully shown the necessity to digitalize marine services such as audits, inspections, damage and condition surveys which for decades have relied on physical attendance of surveyors.
In this webinar three experts from different backgrounds will discuss their views and experiences with the benefits and challenges related to remote surveys:
- Paul Fry, Senior Vice President, Head of Hull, London, SKULD
- Stener O. Stenersen, Acting Head of Department Technical Support Norway, DNV GL - Maritime
- Henrik Uth, CEO, Survey Association Ltd.
The presentations will be followed by a Q&A with the audience.
