The Spring edition of our Masterclass Cargo Insurance is underway in London. 23 lively students from ten different countries are attending. Following on from the welcome and introduction to IUMI hosted by our Chief Analyst Veith Huesmann, the group learned about key legal aspects in the module on “Contracts of Affreightment” from Natalie Moore (Quadrant Chambers), Richard Murray and William Stansfield (Campbell Johnston Clark (CJC)). In the final session titled “Underwriting from start to finish”, Ed Colclough from Parsyl and Guy Smith from Munich Re Specialty – Global Markets, UK offered a deep-dive into various aspects to consider along the underwriting process by looking at a case study on perishables.
The day will conclude with the Masterclass Special Dinner where we look forward to a keynote address by James Whitlam from Concirrus.
