Our Spring Meeting, held annually in Hamburg, was an opportunity for all our Committee and Forum members to meet in one place. In total, over 150 members gathered for individual Committee/Forum meetings and plenary sessions. The event allowed our Committees and Forums to discuss their own business and initiatives and to prepare for the annual conference later in the year. It was also an opportunity for the President and Secretary General to give updates on the status and ongoing activities of IUMI.
Following the individual meetings, a general plenary session enabled Committee/Forum Chairs to report on their own activities. Updates were wide-ranging and included the launch of our new Hull Masterclass, the current IUMI policy agenda, our Cost Repair Index and Major Claims Database, maritime fraud, loss prevention initiatives and much more. Next year’s Spring Meeting will be held in Hamburg 24-26 March and details will be published on the IUMI website nearer the time.
