After the successful launch of the IUMI Masterclass Cargo Insurance, IUMI decided to create an extensive course related to hull insurance.
The IUMI Masterclass in Hull Insurance is a specialised course tailored for senior maritime professionals who seek to deepen their understanding of hull insurance. It is a four-day, in-person programme that offers a unique opportunity for learning and networking.
The comprehensive course is structured around three core pillars: technical, underwriting, and claims. Participants will engage in discussions on various underwriting tools, market trends, and claims management strategies. The programme provides valuable insights into the roles of underwriters and claims professionals, with one of the main objectives being to emphasise the importance of dialogue between underwriting and claims representatives.
The course combines theoretical concepts with practical case studies and workshops, ensuring a common understanding among participants regardless of their background. Selective groups of attendees and sessions presented by top-level industry practitioners will ensure personalised attention and an engaging learning experience.
The Masterclass in Hull Insurance is relevant for a global audience. The course has been designed by hull specialists involved in the American, Asian, and European markets, understanding their peculiarities. The programme will be beneficial for senior hull insurance professionals who require a deepened understanding of the underwriting and claims process in their daily activities.
The first course will be held in London from Tuesday, 28 October until Friday, 31 October 2025. Course registration will begin in Spring 2025 and the number of places is limited.
