Freight forwarders play a critical role in global trade, assuming significant legal responsibility as intermediaries across complex international supply chains. Without adequate liability coverage, a single claim arising from cargo loss, damage, or delay can have serious financial consequences, making Freight Forwarders’ Liability (FFL) insurance a fundamental pillar of sound risk management.
This second webinar in IUMI’s series on FFL insurance builds on the foundations laid in the first session, which discussed the role of Freight Forwarders’ Liability within the broader logistics and liability landscape. While that initial discussion focused on key liability frameworks in Germany, China, and the United States, this session widens the geographical scope to include two additional jurisdictions: France and India. By doing so, it will offer participants a more comprehensive and comparative understanding of how FFL insurance operates across different legal and regulatory environments.
Our expert speakers will examine the particularities of the freight and logistics frameworks in their respective countries, covering scope, limits, and exclusions, while also highlighting the key challenges and opportunities each market presents.
The session will close with an interactive Q&A, giving participants the opportunity to engage directly with our expert speakers:
- Pierre Grébouval, Underwriting Manager Cargo, AXA XL (Puteaux)
- Sujoy Maitra, Vice President & Head-Marine Insurance, ICICI Lombard General Insurance Co Ltd & member of IUMI’s Cargo Committee (Mumbai)
