The IUMI Masterclass Hull insurance is a course intended for senior maritime professionals who wish to deepen their knowledge of H&M insurance. Objectives

The programme provides valuable insights into the work of hull & machinery underwriters and claims professionals, fostering a better understanding of their respective roles and emphasizing the importance of their dialogue throughout the insurance policy period.

Suitability

The programme, designed by underwriting and claims practitioners from Asia, Europe and the USA, is relevant for participants from around the globe. The course is intended for senior hull insurers (underwriters as well as claims professionals), brokers, shipowners and other marine experts, for whom a deepened understanding of the underwriting and claims process is vital in their daily activities.

Working method

The programme is designed to be practical, combining theoretical concepts with case studies and workshops. The course will be conducted in a select group setting, allowing for personalized attention and an engaging learning experience.

Considering the diverse professional experiences of the participants, each session will begin with an introduction to general concepts before going into more depth. This approach ensures a common understanding among all participants, irrespective of their background.
