With this webinar on Freight Forwarders’ Liability (FFL) insurance, our expert speakers aim at placing this line of business into a broader logistics and liability context. The session will start with an overview of the global logistics market, its relevance, premium potential and loss characteristics, and explain the shift from a traditional marine-cargo-only approach towards a more holistic view. It will clarify the scope of FFL insurance, its delineation from general liability, the types of liability insured under laws, conventions and contracts, and the main categories of insured claims, costs and exclusions, including errors and omissions.
The webinar will then provide specific insights into the market and liability frameworks in Germany and Europe, followed by perspectives on China (Session 1) and the United States (Session 2). Special attention will be given to liability arising from warehousing operations, fraudulent conduct, reinsurance aspects and international programmes, before concluding with an interactive Q&A session.
