Registration for the upcoming annual IUMI conference is open, and the early bird registration fee deadline is expiring at midnight on Sunday, 25 June 2023.
The conference will be held from 17 to 21 September in Edinburgh, and conference attendees can look forward to a full programme of discussion, learning and networking. Jointly hosted by the Lloyd’s Market Association (LMA) and the International Underwriting Association (IUA), the partners have worked hard to create an outstanding event with a unique Scottish twist.
The full programme is still to be finalised, but will feature a "Facts and Figures" workshop presented by Jun Lin, Chair of the Fact and Figures Committee. Jun will report on the committee's work and put forward the Report on World Merchant Fleet and World Trade. Astrid Seltmann, Vice Chair, will continue the session and discuss the Global Marine Insurance Report.
Another popular workshop will be the Offshore Energy workshop, with a panel discussion where marine insurance leaders will debate the conference theme: Strength and Stability in Turbulent Seas.
Other topics of significance will also be presented, for example, "How sustainable are alternative fuels"; "Big Data and Digitalisation", and "Human, Social and Environmental governance – Box ticking or preventing marine losses?" to name a few.
Delegates can also look forward to a busy few days of networking and knowledge sharing.
