The IUMI 2016 Annual Conference was held at the Porto Antico Centro Congressi in Genova, Italy 18-21 September
The conference common theme was “Effective Underwriting in a Changing Environment” and IUMI President Dieter Berg led discussions on how this theme reflected the constant changing environment in which insurers must operate; and the need to continue high quality underwriting to face this challenge.
Key decision makers in the marine insurance industry focused on important topics such as cyber threats, car carrier safety issues, unmanned vessels, piracy, the challenges of ultra large container vessels, places of refuge, fire-fighting systems on container vessels, the volatile oil price and much more.
