During the IUMI Council meeting held on 22nd September 2014 on the occasion of this year’s annual conference in Hong Kong, the IUMI Council formed by IUMI members unanimously approved the new Articles of Association.

During the past two years the International Union of Marine Insurance has undergone many changes intended to modernize its structure. The IUMI Council recognized and appreciated this fact during the voting process. IUMI’s history, with several rounds of restructuring in the past, has demonstrated that the Union is an association with successful attainment of international status covering the entire world – today as in the past.

The new Articles of Association are the response to modern-day requirements and have achieved the objectives of more transparency, a modernized structure and compliancy.
