Cyber Risk: Cargo - new solutions?

21 January 2020

At the IUMI 2019 conference in Toronto 73% of the delegates responded to a poll saying that cargo cyber risk is a major concern for them, clearly demonstrating the need to design risk management so that is helps to reduce the likelihood of a cyber-incident occurring.

This webinar provides an update on regulatory developments and the increasing pressure to either be affirmative or exclude cyber cover. Following the UK’s Prudential Regulatory Authority’s requirement to identify, quantify and manage cyber risks, the Joint Cargo Committee established a working party to address these issues. The Working Party reviewed the existing Cyber Attack Exclusion CL380 and concluded that a new clause should be drafted for use within the cargo market. Mike Roderick, Partner at Clyde & Co. and David Grant, Class Manager Cargo at CNA / Hardy discuss the resulting cyber coverage clause and its practical application.

The presentation will be followed by a Q&A with the audience.
