Dangerous goods present a challenge due to the variety of hazards they pose when they are shipped around the world. In this webinar Dr Mirjana Küzma, from Andrew Moore & Associates, presented the regulatory framework as well as practical aspects related to the shipment of dangerous goods. In the regulatory part of her presentation, Dr Küzma outlined the relevant IMO conventions and the IMDG Code. In the second part of the presentation hands-on guidance about classification, packaging, labelling, loading and stowage of dangerous goods, as well as information about consignment procedures, documentation and emergency response plans, was provided. Case studies were used to illustrate specific issues related to dangerous goods.
