Since the announcement at the annual conference in Chicago about IUMI’s first in-person training programme, we are thrilled by the overwhelming interest in our “Masterclass in Cargo Insurance” course! All twenty spaces for the three-and-a-half day programme have already been taken by senior underwriters and executives from Belgium, Germany, India, Italy, Singapore, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland and the USA.

The curriculum, which is delivered by top level industry experts, offers in-depth insights into contracts of affreightment, international programmes, coverage extensions, cat risks and accumulation, Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) / sustainability and geopolitics.

The comprehensive content of the course is coupled with great networking opportunities and a visit to Lloyd’s of London.

We are grateful for the hard work of our Project Group, which is led by Christopher Hesselbrandt from QBE Europe, as well as the support from IUMI members and Professional Partners from HFW, Clyde & Co and Risk Management Solutions (RMS) who helped to make this first Masterclass possible.

Given the huge interest in the programme by insurance professionals from around the globe, our Education Forum is already working on a second edition. Information about the next Masterclass in Cargo Insurance will be announced in due course.
