Last month I was delighted to be invited by the Canadian Board of Marine Underwriters (CBMU) to speak at their annual Fall Conference in Toronto. I took the opportunity to discuss the current and changing geopolitical situation with war risk insurance as my focus. 
It is always a pleasure to visit Canada as the links between CBMU and IUMI are extremely strong. Our first IUMI North American President was Canadian Maurice Jaques (who sadly died earlier this year) back in 1988 and Canada remains well represented at IUMI today. It was great to see how CBMU continues to grow and develop and how their key priorities of communication and education are evolving.
