In late May, we were delighted to welcome the World Maritime University’s 2024 Class of Maritime Law & Policy to our Hamburg office led by Dr Henning Jessen and Dr Khanssa Lagdami. The visit provided an opportunity to discuss the role marine insurance and maritime industry associations play in the international context of policy making. Lars Lange provided an update on IUMI’s current priorities and relevant policy issues. This was followed by a lively exchange of views on maritime
autonomous surface ships (MASS), sustainability in shipping, geopolitical tensions and many other current issues.
